Clinical Herbalism
A common misconception is that herbalism and conventional medicine don’t work together. I believe that both of these approaches are extremely useful and beneficial and that they can mutually support each other.
As a Clinical Herbalist, I use a harm reduction approach where people of all health statuses are welcome. This includes people who use pharmaceuticals as well as people with compromised organ function and immune systems. I really love to work with clients on a variety of concerns including: anxiety, autoimmune disorders, asthma, brain injuries, sleep disturbances, digestive upset, gender affirming care, fibromyalgia, cancer, chronic pain, stress and much more.
As a trained medicine maker, I am passionate about crafting high quality potent and effective 1:1 tinctures (aka fluid extracts) out of organic cane alcohol. I’m currently offering seasonal 1:1 tinctures and have a limited line of non-alcoholic extracts of honey and glycerin based medicine. This line of products will grow with clients’ interests.
I believe our bodies have an innate ability to heal themselves and I would be excited to accompany you on this journey.
WHAT TO EXPECT
…when working with a herbalist.
Unlike other health care modalities Herbalism isn’t done when we finish our consult, it involves taking your herbs. Taking your herbs as often as they are recommended ensures you get the most out of your medicine. The herbs have been formulated in relation to you, your needs and each individual herbs’ dose range to optimize your health. It can be challenging to take one’s herbs and that is ok. Please tell me if you are struggling with taking your herbs. We can brainstorm ways that could make it easier to take or to remember to take your herbs.
Make the most of your time!
You’ll receive an intake form, informed consent and waiver. To make the most of your time in your first consultation, fill out your intake form and send it to me before your first appointment with me.
Lab Results
If you have any blood work, stool and urine lab results those are also important to send to be with your intake form. In the future when you get new lab work and/or want to discuss these results with me, send them via email at least one week before our next consultation.
Email me!
If you have many questions it is better sending one email with those questions instead of many emails with an individual question in each. Contact me at potentmedicinary@gmail.com
Follow-ups
Follow-ups are most beneficial when they are spaced appropriately apart.
To best manage and monitor your health and progress I usually suggest having a follow-up every 4-6 weeks. Once some conditions have stabilized we can space our consults farther apart.
Follow-ups can be 1 hour to 30 minutes depending upon your situation.
In a follow-up we will discuss: any changes to your health, and what that can mean for you; recent diagnoses and lab results; how your formulas are feeling for you; and reassess what your goals are and if we are meeting them.
Consultation Rates
- Intake consult 2 hours:

If this range is not accessible to you I offer 2 spots a month that are reduced even more.
If money is an issue please send me an email at potentmedicinary@gmail.com to discuss what we can arrange.
I am looking for 1 person for a work trade to handle my social media presence.
